New gym and health studio, Fitness Space has opened on Chester’s Newgate Row
Established by Team GB Olympic runner, Tim Benjamin in 2010, the training facility offers a scientific approach to training
National chain Fitness Space opened its 23rd franchise in the heart of the city after going from strength to strength since it was first set up by Team GB Olympic runner, Tim Benjamin, in 2010.
A team of fitness staff will manage the technologically driven gym and studio, offering a range of bespoke memberships and training programmes tailored to individual needs.
Alongside a DNA test to discover the type of exercise and food which best suits each individual’s goals, the gym will also offer a 30-point health assessment to ensure the training is of the highest quality to help people achieve the best results.
Commenting on the opening, Adam Goodwin, Managing Director of the Chester gym, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer the residents of Chester a gym experience that is unique and innovative.
“As a gym, Fitness Space encourages personal accountability and provides an unrivalled support network with several highly trained professionals. Our motto is ‘never train alone’ and with our technology and our guidance, the client’s progression will be consistently monitored to help them reach their goals.
“We’re excited to have opened our doors in Chester, helping local people change their approach to exercise and diet. We can’t wait to see the amazing transformations we know will take place for our members over the coming months.”
The Chester franchise contains a wide range of high-specification equipment which allows training to be tracked, as well as a coach messaging service and at least one personal training session a month.
The new gym also offers fully customised nutritional programmes, as well as an assortment of fitness classes including a virtual ‘Tour de Chester’, Ballet Fit and Hot Yoga.
“It’s great to see a successful franchise like Fitness Space opening in Chester city centre, especially when you consider the popularity of its other facilities in other towns and cities throughout the UK, including Ascot, Guildford, Leeds, London and Norwich,” said Judy Tagell, Marketing Manager at CH1ChesterBID.
“Fitness Space offers something completely different for Chester’s health and fitness scene – there’s nothing else like it in the city centre – and we know it’s already attracting lots of interest from residents and workers in the city centre. It’s fantastic to have something like this in Chester and it really broadens the diverse offering we have in the city centre.”
