Part of the International Hotel Group, the Crowne Plaza is a four-star accommodator in central Chester. Well known for its restaurant, The Stables Bar and Grill that offers stunning vistas of the Welsh Hills, the hotel also presents entertainment, and this winter it will welcome three hit comedians to its stage.
Dubbed “The Crowne of Comedy”, the evening event features comics known for their appearances on television. Voted among the UK’s best comedians delivering “one-liners” and hailed as one of the top joke writers in the business by GQ Magazine, Tony Cowards leads the pack.
Joining him on the night is Nick Doody, a long-service stand-up artist with more than 30 years on the scene. Doody began his career back in the 90s when he supported US culture comedian Bill Hicks. Over the years, his travels have taken him around the world performing at a variety of venues.
Completing the line-up is Brennan Reece, who has earned praise from critics for his touching yet raucous routines. The Manchester funny man has appeared on Roast Battle (Comedy Central), the Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) and Live at the Apollo (BBC2).
The Crowne of Comedy night will now take place at the Crowne Plaza Chester on Saturday, February 28. The hotel is situated on Trinity Street, and the event will run from 8 pm to 9.40 pm.
Food and beverage bundles offered at a special discount are available to add when booking a ticket for the show.
