Chester Venue to Present British Blues

The Live Rooms in Chester has planned an evening of unforgettable entertainment for rock fans in the city this October.

The beating heart of Chester’s gig scene, the venue will be welcoming British blues rockers King King to its stage for a special autumn show.

Founded by Alan Nimmo and bandmate Lindsay Coulson back in 2008, the group has earned applause for their electric stage presence and passion for playing intimate shows at local night spots around the UK. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Nimmo, commented:

“What I love about playing in these venues is the connection between me and the audience! We can really build the atmosphere and excitement to make it a great night for everyone!”

Renowned for his charisma, Nimmo is the band’s irrepressible frontman who always performs clad in his trademark tartan kilt while wearing a grin from ear-to-ear. Formerly of the Nimmo Brothers, he created King King from its ashes, adding gifted musicians over the years to bolster the band’s ranks.

These included Jonny Dykes on keyboards, and an all-Scottish rhythm section made up of Zander Greenshields and Andrew Scott on bass and drums respectively. The most recent inclusion in the band’s roster is Stevie Nimmo, Alan’s brother who provides backing vocals, a second guitar and a new dimension to the music they play.

King King will now play in concert at The Live Rooms on Friday, October 11. The show is set to begin at 7 pm, and the venue is located on Station Road in Chester.
