An artistic collaboration by two creatives from Poland is coming to Chester in autumn.
Entitled “In The Depth – Water and Sky Unite”, the exhibition will run in the Chapter House of Chester Cathedral during September, and combines multiple media including paintings, poetry and photography that draw inspiration from water.
The upcoming exhibition considers the relationship between people and nature. It is also an open reflection of how we can take steps to protect the planet to provide peace in both the world and our minds.
A joint project, the event features the work of coach, photographer and poet Dorota Raniszewska and painter Karolina Jaroslawska.
Raniszewska is the author of several books include “One Image – Many Words”, published in 2016. An original and personal book, it explores growth and images and ways to use photography as part of personal development and professional coaching techniques that drive creative communication.
A Doctor of Fine Arts and a respected painter, Jaroslawska specialises in conservation and art with a focus on water themes. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and the University of Gdańsk, her paintings frequently feature atmospheric and abstract images of water-based environments like waterfalls, waves, beaches and seas.
In The Depth – Water and Sky Unite will now be on show in the Chapter House from Tuesday, September 1 to Thursday, September 24. No booking is required to attend the exhibition, and Chester Cathedral can be found sited on St. Werburgh Street in Chester.
