Novel Retreats is holding a special event for book lovers at Crabwall Manor this autumn.
Titled the “Chester Afternoon Tea & Reading Retreat”, the luxury experience is taking place in a private room within the historic Cheshire hotel, which is based only five minutes from the city centre by car.
Avid readers living in or visiting Chester can enjoy four hours of peace and quiet in a cosy environment. Designed for those seeking an opportunity to slow down, the retreat offers space and time to relax away from the hubbub of daily life.
On arrival, guests of the event will find a dedicated room stuffed with comfortable seating. Here they can settle in for an afternoon of uninterrupted reading time with a novel they have been waiting for a chance to start. While there is no pressure to interact with others at the retreat, low-pressure conversation with fellow bibliophiles is also an option.
Orchestrated with indulgence in mind, an exemplary afternoon tea will be served during the retreat. The feast includes unlimited coffee and tea accompanied by sweet treats, fluffy scones and a selection of finger sandwiches. Each reader joining the event will also receive a special bookish gift from Novel Retreats.
The Chester Afternoon Tea & Reading Retreat will now run on Sunday, September 6 at Crabwall Manor. The hotel and spa can be found on Parkgate Road in Mollington, Chester. The retreat will open at 12 pm and close at 4 pm.
