Two candle-lit concerts are taking place in Chester this autumn dedicated to beloved rock musicians.
The spiritual centre of the city, Chester Cathedral, will present two consecutive nights of live music, allowing residents and visitors alike to hear timeless classics echo in its elegant interior.
The Ultimate Tribute to Queen will take over the cathedral’s stage on Friday, September 11 for a 7.30 pm show. The acclaimed show has enjoyed sold-out performances at the London Palladium and across the Atlantic at Carnegie Hall in New York. Combining a love rock band with first-class vocalists from the West End, the concert will let Queen fans hear anthems like “We Are the Champions”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “We Will Rock You”, “Who Wants to Live Forever” and “It’s a Kind of Magic”, among many others.
On Saturday, September 12, “The Music of Bruce Springsteen” can be witnessed in the cathedral. The show promises an evening filled with soulful and heartfelt rock ‘n’ roll penned by “The Boss”, brought to life by a powerhouse band led by a cast of stage singers. Tracks on the set list will include “Born in the U.S.A.”, “Glory Days”, “Dancing in the Dark”, “The River” and “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day”, to name but a few.
