Chester Cathedral to Boast Beatlemania

Back by popular demand, “The Music of The Beatles by Candlelight” is making a welcome return to Chester Cathedral.

This spring, the grade-listed landmark will once again open its Great West Doors to the celebrated show that combines a live band staffed with skilled musicians and a cast of singers from London’s famous West End.

Within the cathedral’s impressive interior, audiences will witness a performance illuminated by thousands of glowing LED candles. A special set list has been prepared for Beatles fans booking tickets that features more than 40 hits from the “Fab Four”. Tracks teased for the evening include sing-along favourites like “Let it Be”, “Hey Jude”, “Yesterday”, “All You Need is Love”, “Hard Days Night” and “Come Together”.

A wide range of tickets are available priced according to their view of the stage and display screens starting at £20 with a £4.50 booking fee. However, special VIP admission is also offered for £50. All tickets purchased for the event are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

The Music of The Beatles by Candlelight show will now take place at Chester Cathedral on Thursday, May 21. The concert will commence at 7.30 pm and the cathedral can be found on St Werburgh Street in the centre of the city. Doors to the event will open with a mandatory bag search ahead of the show at 6.45 pm.

Ticket holders seeking refreshments will find that a fully licensed bar is up and running on the night for the full duration of the event.
