Chester Cathedral to Present Classical Dance Music

Heart of the community and important arts hub Chester Cathedral has announced it will be welcoming Ibiza Proms to its grade-listed events space for a live show in February. The Saturday performance will see a 40-piece orchestra take to the stage to play classical reimagined versions of timeless club tracks from the White Isle’s famous music scene.

The Ibiza Proms orchestra will be joined on the evening by a range of gifted vocalists, with the aim of creating an original take on some of the most beloved summer hits. Special guest singers are yet to be announced for the concert, but will also be on show alongside the orchestra.

Those coming down to the show at Chester Cathedral can expect a carefully curated blend of iconic dance music anthems from Ibiza combined with the more recent hits, all performed live. While the cathedral still holds regular services, it has become renowned for the concerts that it holds. The combination of the listed building’s elegant interior and astonishing acoustics make it an incredible location for live music events.

The Ibiza Proms in Chester Cathedral event will now take place on Saturday, February 17. The concert will start at 6.30pm and end at 11pm, and the cathedral can be found on Chester’s St Werburgh Street.

Fans of music and dance music interested in attending the upcoming performance at Chester Cathedral are advised that all tickets available are for standing room, and that only people aged 18 and over are eligible to attend.
