Chester Cathedral to Present Rock Tribute Show

In a new edition to its popular series of candle lit performances, Chester Cathedral will be welcoming music lovers to enjoy concert celebrating the creations of Meat Loaf. Dubbed “Meat Loaf by Candlelight, the concert is a Kinda Dusty Ltd production and pays tribute to some of the rock and roll icon’s biggest and beloved hits.

Performing for two consecutive nights at the end of November and beginning of December, the show features a talented troop. With experience of song and stage, a live cast which features stars from the successful West End Meat Loaf musical “Bat Out of Hell” will be on show, supported by a professional rock band.

Designed to deliver the ultimate tribute to one of rock’s most gifted and colourful characters, Meat Loaf by Candlelight boasts a set-list loaded with classics including “Dead Ringer for Love”, “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad”, “Anything for Love” and “Bat Out of Hell” to name but a few.

While celebrated for his best-selling rock albums, Meat Loaf was also a star of both stage and screen. His iconic performances in musical productions like Hair and the Rocky Horror Picture Show brought his larger-than-life personality to the public, but he also appeared in more than 50 television shows and films.

The Meat Loaf by Candlelight concert will now take place at Chester Cathedral on Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1. The cathedral is situated on St Werburgh Street in Chester, with the event set to start at 7.30pm and end at 10pm.
