This September, the hotel’s manicured grounds will play host to a time-honoured Bavarian event celebrated around the world.
Presented by Purple Rose Media, the exemplary hotel will be holding its own Oktoberfest event in late September. Many people are confused about when the famous beer festival is held. While it originally took place in October, the event was eventually celebrated earlier to appreciate the better weather and longer daylight hours.
Offering a flavour of Germany the upcoming event at the Mercure is designed to transport revellers to the very heart of Munch, the home of Oktoberfest. Chester residents and visitors attending can enjoy steins of flavourful beer, and glasses of Glühwein, the famous festival wine. Tradition German cuisine will also be served upon the day to satisfy a range of appetites. In terms of entertainment, there will be live music from talented players and skilled traditional dancers creating a party atmosphere for the event.
This isn’t the first drinks event Purple Rose Media has organised for the Mercure – it recently ran a successful summer Gin and Beer Festival in the hotel’s grounds.
The Oktoberfest event will now take place on Saturday, September 28 at the Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel. The event will start at 2 pm and end at 10 pm, and the hotel can be found on Whitchurch Road in Christleton.
