Iconic Animations Arriving in Chester for Christmas

Chester Cathedral is inviting residents and guests of the city to attend a specially planned performance of the two classic animations in its Abbey Square. However, the event will not only see the two short animations on screen, but they will be accompanied by music from a professional orchestra playing live scores.

The show is Presented by Carrot Productions, who are the world’s foremost performers of “The Snowman film with orchestra”. They are currently celebrating a decade of performing their award-winning production. The orchestra features some of Britain’s finest musicians, who are dedicated to bringing the show to life for fans of the films.

Accompanying the screening of The Snowman, there will be a festive whistle-stop tour of the orchestra, and even a visit from the kindly Snowman himself. Next, animation fans can see Aardman’s multi award-winning picture The Wrong Trousers, featuring inventor and cheese enthusiast Wallace and his faithful canine companion, Gromit.

Following the films, everyone attending is invited to meet the musicians and admire their costumes and instruments.
