Pink Floyd Experience Heads for Chester

Local Cestrians and visitors to Chester with a passion for the music of Pink Floyd can enjoy an immersive sonic experience arriving in the city this summer.

June will find The Nave of Chester Cathedral ringing out with unforgettable songs created by the seminal London rock band that formed back in 1965.

In one of its highly praised candle-lit concerts, the grade-listed landmark will pay homage to the British psychedelic rock band with skilled support from “What The Floyd”. Described as one of Britain’s most acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute acts, the group are dedicated to faithfully recreating the sound developed by Dave Gilmour, Roger Waters and their bandmates.

Those buying tickets for the gig will get a chance to hear iconic tracks which include “Comfortably Numb”, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Us and Them”, “Wish You Were Here” and the “Another Brick in the Wall”, the hit song from Pink Floyd’s 1982 animated film, “The Wall”, among many others.

The Pink Floyd by Candlelight concert will now be on stage in The Nave at Chester Cathedral on Friday, June 20. The Cathedral can be found on St. Werburgh Street in the heart of the city and the show will commence at 7.30 pm. Tickets will be available at a range of price-points offering different views of the performance to suit different budgets.

Concertgoers are reminded that no food or drinks from outside are allowed inside the cathedral and, as a result, they may be subject to a short bag search on the night.
