Respected for the premier dining adventures it offers, The Forge is a leading restaurant in Chester.
Recently, the well-reviewed eatery has announced it is now working in partnership with Chester Ghost Tours to host special monthly events that combine a guided walk with an unforgettable dinner.
The city of Chester has over 2000 years’ worth of history, and hundreds of spooky sightings to its credit. As a result, many refer to it as one the UK’s most haunted cities to visit. Residents and guests of the city will now get a chance to take a night-time tour of Chester accompanied by a special guide, Mary Ann Cameron, author of the book “Chester City of Ghosts”.
After an eerie walk around the city, guests of the tour who have built up an appetite can sit down to dinner at the Forge. A three-course meal will be served designed by the kitchen team led by Head Chef Dan Regan, who previously worked at Michelin-starred restaurant, Ynyshir.
Over dinner, Cameron will share spine-tingling ghost stories from Chester’s historic past, and guests will get the chance to purchase a signed copy of her book, complete with a special dedication.
The next available tour will take place on Thursday, June 26, and the price of participation is £60 per person. The tour and dinner event will take place once a month on set dates throughout 2025. Located within the Indigo Hotel, The Forge can be found on Grosvenor Road in Chester.
