Visitors to Chester seeking Southern American dining can indulge their appetite at Hickory’s Smokehouse. The beloved bar and restaurant offering views of the Dee has announced that it is offering diners longer to appreciate a range of weekday specials called “Smokin’ Deals”.
The midweek meals are now available Monday to Thursday from 12 pm each day, and features an exclusive and delicious dish inspired by Smokehouse dining and the classic recipes prepared in the Southern states and their neighbours.
Steak Mondays serve up a six-ounce rump steak flamed on the grill, with a side of skin on fries and pepper sauce for dipping. To wash it down, there’s a classic milkshake with a choice of strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. Diners with big appetites can also upgrade to a 12-ounce rump steak for an extra charge.
Chicken Tuesdays boast a variety bucket of fried chicken with corn on the cob, House coleslaw, barbequed beans, skin-on fries and Hickory’s gravy.
Texas Wednesdays turn up the heat with a tray of Tex-Mex treats that are easy to eat. These include tostadas made with spiced pulled pork and topped with pickled red onion, and quesadillas featuring feta cheese and smoked chicken, accompanied with a pile of Mexican tater tots.
BBQ Thursdays complete the Smokin’ Deals. Packing in all the smokehouse favourites on a single plate, the meal has Memphis-style baby back ribs, BBQ chicken wings, southern fried chicken, hand pulled pork, BBQ beans and a spicy chilli cheese served with slaw and skin-on fries.
