The Roodee, Chester’s record-breaking racecourse, which has been operating since 1539, is hosting an event for residents and visitors to the city with a passion for collectables. Held for a single day within the racecourse grounds this autumn, the trading card convention is called the “Chester Card Show” and promises to be its boldest and biggest edition to date.
Presented by Northern Card Shows (NCS), the convention aims to offer the ultimate experience for card collectors. This premier event will bring together enthusiasts and fans from every niche of the hobby.
With capacity for 1,200 attendees, the historic racing venue will provide the space required for the popular event, along with a wealth of trusted sellers and leading vendors. Collectors will have the opportunity to discover vintage grails and rare finds, as well as secure special deals, all under one roof.
Products from renowned card-collecting brands such as “Pokémon”, “One Piece”, “Magic: The Gathering” and “Yu-Gi-Oh!” will be featured, to name but a few. Ticket holders at the in-person event will have six hours to sell, buy and trade as they seek the cards they have been hunting for, in an atmosphere that welcomes seasoned professionals and absolute beginners alike.
The NCS Chester Card Show will be held at Chester Racecourse on Sunday, 8 November. The trading card convention will be open from 10 am to 4 pm. The racecourse is located in the centre of Chester on New Crane Street. Admission to the event is just £7.95 per person.
