Alexander’s Live in Chester is opening its doors to a tribute act with a distinguished pedigree this summer.
Performing an eclectic mix from the Stereophonics’ massive back catalogue, Stereosonics are known for playing on stage as former member of the Welsh rock band.
In their early years, the band took to the stage in the hometown of Kelly Jones and Richard Jones, Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley, and were joined during their performance by Stuart Cable, Sterophonics’ former drummer.
Known for their dynamic live shows, the tribute group perform anthems, hits and deep-cut fan favourites. Those booking tickets for the show will get to hear tracks on the night including ‘Dakota’, ‘Local Boy in The Photograph’, ‘Maybe Tomorrow’, ‘Pick a Part That’s New’, ‘The Bartender and The Thief’ and ‘Just Looking’, among many others.
Described as the UK’s ultimate band dedicated to the Stereophonics, the group’s lead singer Shane Cross is often referenced for his eerie likeness to Phonics’ frontman Kelly.
Formed in 1992 as the Tragic Love Company, Stereophonics were rechristened in 1996 and have been described as classic UK rock with whiskey vocals.
Stereosonics “A Tribute to The Stereophonics” will now be on stage at Alexander’s Live on Saturday, August 8. The venue is easy to locate in Rufus Court in Chester, and standing tickets are already on sale priced from £16.40.
The concert will start at 7 pm and ends at 8 pm. The show is only suitable for those aged 18 or over.
