This year’s charity football tournament was attended by local businesses who played on throughout the rain and sun this weekend. The 7 a side games were pretty competitive with one of our own games coming down to penalties and sadly we lost it!

The pitches were kindly donated by The Cheshire in Upton enabling all the proceeds from the day to go straight to the 2 local causes – The Hospice of the Good Shepherd and Tony’s Big Bottle Society. The amount raised was £2000 which will be split equally between the two.

The final came down to Proximo Ltd and Tier Consult, however, following an injury sustained in the final the decision was made to call off the tournament and jointly award the gold medals and shield to both teams who had played amazingly well throughout.

Oliver and Co were awarded Silver and Pursglove & Brown were awarded Bronze.
