To accompany its brand-new Christmas Light Trail for 2022, Chester’s Bolesworth Estate has announced it will be hosting a special seasonal event for charity. This year will see the Grade Listed site launch its first ever “Bolesworth Santa Dash” to support children’s hospices during the month of December.
A registered charity, Hope House Children’s Hospices provides community and hospice care for children who are life limited from Cheshire, Shropshire, Mid-Wales and North Wales. For a little over a year, it has been the appointed charity of Bolesworth Castle, with the estate raising close to £40,000 to date.
The inaugural Bolesworth Santa Dash will take place on Sunday, December 11 and will begin at 3:00 pm. All contestants will be given the chance to walk or run a two-kilometre course that winds around the well-appointed country home, with outstanding views across Cheshire, Merseyside, the Wirral and North Wales. The event has been designed to be dog friendly, so those taking part can bring along their four-legged friends on the day to join in the dash.
Participants are encouraged to get dressed up for the event and will each receive a dedicated goody bag and Santa Dash medal when they cross the finish line. A 25% discount on four tickets to the 2022 Bolesworth Christmas Lights Trail will also be awarded and matched by a 25% donation from Bolesworth to the Hope House Children’s Hospices Charity.
Bolesworth Castle can be found on Old Coach Road in Tattenhall, Chester and entry fees for the Santa Dash are priced between £5 and £10, with all proceeds given to the charity.
