Ska Legends to Play Delamere Forest

Delamere Forest, just over 10 miles from Chester, is set to become the stage for UK pop and ska icons Madness this week.

As part of Forest Live 2023, an annual collection of concerts organised and presented by Forestry England, the band will perform at Delamere with support from special guest Hollie Cook.

After a sold-out performance at Forest Live 2022, Madness is returning to perform at not only Delamere Forest, but also Cannock Chase Forest in Staffordshire.

Recognised for their unique blend of ska-infused pop representing life in Britain, the band rose to fame in the 1980s but have continued to record and perform throughout the years.

Those who have secured a ticket for the concert in Delamere Forest will get a chance to hear a setlist packed with classic tracks from Madness, which may include hits like ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘One Step Beyond’, ‘Embarrassment’, ‘My Girl’, ‘House Of Fun’, ‘It Must Be Love’, ‘Driving In My Car’, ‘Wings Of A Dove’, and ‘Our House’.

As the largest woodland area in the county, Delamere Forest is a place of natural beauty filled with evergreen trees, making it a popular spot for local walkers, cyclists and horse riders, along with visitors from across the country seeking verdant views.

Every ticket purchased for the concert will help Forestry England, which plants more than six million trees each year to support the nation’s forest sustainably.

Madness will play live at Delamere Forest this Thursday, June 15, between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm.
