Based inside the respected Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, Nelson’s is a much-loved gastropub serving up exquisite cuisine in Chester.
The exemplary venue is inviting revellers to spend New Year’s Eve within its walls for an evening event with live music, flowing drinks and a buffet of three courses.
Guests coming down to the gastropub for the event will receive a warm reception with a welcoming glass of fizz to get started. The Big Beat, one of the Grosvenor Pulford’s most popular house bands, will provide a soundtrack to the festivities playing past midnight to accompany an electric countdown taking partygoers into 2025.
The first course of the buffet boasts exotic temptations like crispy hoi sin duck, prawn tempura, veggie samosas, and poppadoms with dips and chutneys. The main course is equally sumptuous and filled with Far East flavours. Buffet diners can enjoy helpings of Kerala butter chicken, crispy shredded beef, steamed tofu and chicken bao buns, marinated vegetable kushiyaki and teriyaki salmon on skewers. Sides include pilaf rice, buttered naan, salads and sticky noodles.
The final course offers abundant variety too, with desserts like honeycomb cheesecake, miniature fruit pavlova, decadent dark chocolate brownies and lemon meringue tart. A specially prepared chef’s cheese board will also be available graced with Welsh cheddar and organic brie, accompanied by crackers from Peter’s Yard.
New Year’s Eve at Nelson’s will start at 7 pm on Tuesday, December 31 at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel, which is located on Wrexham Road in Pulford, Chester. Tickets are priced at £89 each.
