Celebrated each year in the UK on the June’s third Sunday, Father’s Day offers people of all ages a chance to honour their dads and father figures.
This year, the Chester Fields Country Pub is inviting Cheshire residents and those visiting from afar to treat their father to a sit-down Sunday Roast dinner with quality ale to wash it down.
Set in a picturesque rural location around four miles from the city, the friendly pub is an attractive place for Father’s Day festivities. While enjoying impressive views of the Cheshire plains, parties can raise a glass of authentic Austrian Schnapps or English cask ale with their dad and tuck into a sumptuous spread.
Starters include crispy pork belly served with apple brandy puree and celeriac remoulade, tiger prawns and chorizo Pil Pil with warm bread, or decadent chicken liver and brandy pâté on toast with fig chutney.
The main roast dinner offers a choice of roast chicken breast, spiced vegetable and lentil roast, Welsh leg of lamb or topside beef that has been dry aged. Mains are served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and unlimited lashings of gravy. Optional extras include pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, mashed potatoes and truffle parmesan fries.
The dessert menu is designed to satisfy any dads’ appetite and includes sticky toffee pudding, ice cream, Eton Mess, Belgian waffles and cheese boards.
Father’s Day dining is now available to book at the Chester Field Country Pub and takes place on Sunday, June 15. The pub and restaurant can be found at Sandfield Farm on Chester Road.
