Nelson Hotels & Inns Names New Operations Director

Alongside news that it will soon be launching a brand-new venue, Nelson Hotels and Inns has announced the appointment of Neil Armstrong to the role of Group Food and Beverage Operations Director.

With more than 30 years’ worth of experience in the hospitality sector, including two AA Rosette-winning venues and notable five-star hotels, Armstrong has the experience to take on director duties for the family-run collection of inns, hotels and restaurants based throughout Cheshire.

The brand is set to open a fifth development, known as The Manor at Greasby, in the coming months. The select venue on the Wirral will feature an elegant gastropub-style restaurant and a new event space for a wide range of activities and occasions, including weddings. Adding the new venue to the family firm’s collection has created the unique opportunity of a senior position for Armstrong, who is eager to answer the challenge.

The new Operations Director commented:

“I am really excited to join the Nelson Hotels & Inns team. I was immediately drawn to their collection of high-quality venues and their unique locations, as well as the attention to the food offering at each site.”

He added that with opening of the new venue, it will be an exciting but busy time for the group and that he is looking forward to getting involved in his new role.

An award-winning collection of hospitality venues in Cheshire, Nelson Hotels & Inns’ portfolio includes four-star stays in Chester like the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, The Fishpool Inn and The Pheasant Inn in Burwardsley. The Manor at Greasby is set to open this winter.
