Scottish Celebration Bound for Chester Restaurant

Grosvenor Park Road restaurant, The Forge, is known as one of the best dining establishments in all Chester. In honour of Scotland’s beloved bard, Robert Burns, the esteemed eatery is hosting a special Burns Night celebration towards the end of the month.

Dubbed “Burns Night in Chester at The Forge”, the event will remember both the life and legacy of Burns while paying homage to Scotland with an original tasting menu, specially designed for the evening.

Born in Alloway, Scotland in 1759 inside a cottage constructed by his father, Robert Burns was both a poet and a lyricist whose collective works are now an integral element of Scottish heritage and culture. Burns Night, sometimes referred to as Burns Supper, has been celebrated since the fifth anniversary of the bard’s death in 1801, and is a time to recall his timeless writing while appreciating Scotland’s rich traditions.

After a glass of bubbly on arrival, diners on the night can indulge their appetites with six individual courses, each cleverly curated with flavours and aromas to invoke images of Burns’ home of South Ayrshire.

The special celebration will conclude with a carefully selected and singular malt whisky, that will accompany share of tablet, a Scottish treat that dates to the 18th century. The sweet slice will be homemade at the Forge.

Burns Night in Chester at The Forge will take place on Saturday, January 25. Admission is available at £75 per person but spaces are limited, so booking early is recommended.
