Finalists in the 2019 Annual Marketing Cheshire Awards have now been announced.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Marketing Cheshire’s prestigious Annual Awards, which recognises excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire’s visitor economy, now worth over £3.5 billion.
The much-awaited shortlist for the awards was announced this week and Chester Racecourse are listed as one of seven finalists up for the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year award.
The winners will be announced at a glittering award ceremony on Thursday 3rd October at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford. The event last year attracted over 300 guests representing Cheshire’s top attractions, hotels and businesses.
Mark Livesey, Chief Executive, Marketing Cheshire, said: “There are 16 categories in this year’s Award Ceremony, including new awards for Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year and Pub of the Year. As always, competition has been fierce because Cheshire is home to nationally recognised tourist brands and world class tourism professionals. The Annual Award Ceremony is a great way to recognise and celebrate achievements in the Cheshire’s visitor economy.”

It was a triple success for Chester Race Company with Chester Racecourse also shortlisted for Wedding Venue of the Year and the racecourse’s on-course pub; The White Horse, shortlisted for brand new category, Pub of the Year.
