Annual Cheshire celebration, Deva Fest is making a welcome return to Cholmondeley Castle this year. A major four-day event on the county’s summer calendar, the festival has many features that help it stand out from other occasions of its kind.
Cholmondeley Castle’s historic grounds provide a unique environment for the festivities. Surrounded by parklands full of natural beauty and on a site of historic significance, the location amplifies the experience of attending Deva Fest. Just half an hour by car from Chester via Whitchurch Road, the castle grounds are easy to reach from the city.
Designed for all ages and tastes, the festival also promises something to please every festivalgoer, from gin masterclasses for adults to the all-new Kaleidoscope Kingdom for kids. Those looking for laughs can enjoy stand-up action on each day of the event hosted by Chester comic Danny McLoughlin, while music fans can see big name in the business on stage like The Coral, Sleeper, Ibiza Symphony, Ocean Colours Scene, The Human League and East 17.
There will also be a free fairground, with festival entry tickets entitling holders to unlimited rides on the Waltzers, the Waveswinger, Superstar and Dodgems, as well as the Swing Ride and Monster Trucks for little ones.
Independent food traders will be serving up savoury and sweet treats from a wide range of cuisines, and the event prides itself on offering the cleanest and best-maintained festival toilets.
Deva Fest will be at Cholmondeley Castle from Thursday, August 8 to Sunday, August 11.
