Renowned for hosting music and comedy nights, Alexander’s Live is Chester hotspot for those who enjoy entertainment alongside drinking and dining. Now, the popular venue at Rufus Court has announced it will soon be welcoming a premier tribute act to the stage.

Who’s Next has earned a reputation as the UK’s leading tribute to The Who and is dedicated to transporting music fans back to the ‘60s and ‘70s. Faithfully recreating the talents of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon and John Entwistle on stage, the world-class tribute band look, act and sound the part thanks to authentic instruments and stage clothing.

Inspired by The Who’s legendary performances like The Isle of Wight Festival, Tanglewood, the Fillmore East shows and Live at Leeds, Who’s Next play an electric set featuring classic tracks from the iconic English group. As a result, attendees can expect to hear an extensive setlist that may include songs such as “Pinball Wizard”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “Magic Bus”, “Who Are You” and “My Generation”.

Gary Shail, who played Spider in the 1979 film Quadrophenia based on the Who’s rock opera, commented:

“If you weren’t lucky or old enough to see The Who in their heyday, then see this lot! You will not be disappointed!”

The tribute group has been playing together since 2003 and consists of Karl Moulden on vocals, Max Edwards on bass guitar and vocals, Dante DiCarlo on guitar and vocals and Mike Vishnick on drums and vocals.

The band will perform at Alexander’s Live on Thursday, August 24, and tickets are priced at £13.20 per person.
