Chester Food Festival Celebrates 25th Anniversary

This Easter Weekend, Chester’s biggest food and drink festival, Taste Cheshire, is making a triumphant return.

The successful event is now in its 25th year and promises to be better and bigger than ever with a special anniversary edition. Once again, the oldest race venue in the world still running, Chester Racecourse, has been selected to host the epic event over three action-packed days.

For the 2025 incarnation, the festival for foodies will completely take over the central section of the venerable racecourse.

Those attending have plenty to look forward to, with celebrity chefs Nisha Katona and Phil Vickery mixing it up with top culinary talent like Elliott Hill from the Chester Grosvenor on the “Chef Demonstration Stage”.

Designed to appeal to all ages, the event has cooking classes for kids. Little ones can learn about healthy eating while getting messy cooking at “The Academy of Culinary Arts”. Children won’t be the only ones with a chance to pick up new kitchen skills. Adult cooking classes will also be held with a hands-on approach.

Festival guests will get a chance to try a diverse range of edible delights over the course of the event, with more than 150 exhibitors expected to attend.

The Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival will now run at Chester Racecourse from Saturday, April 19 to Monday, April 21. The sports venue is situated on New Cranes Street in Chester, and a range of tickets are available including singles and three-day roamers, while children under five enjoy free entry to the festival.
