Chester Hospitality People Awards Unveils Winners

A firm fixture on the city’s annual events calendar, the Chester Hospitality People Awards celebrates industry excellence.

A grand ceremony recently took place at Chester Racecourse, revealing awards winners who exemplify the best that the city’s hospitality industry has to offer.

Well attended with over 300 guests onsite to enjoy the occasion, the vibrant event highlighted the outstanding contributions and incredible talents of both establishments and individuals who are adding to Chester’s charm as a leading destination in the nation.

Group Catering Director for Chester Racecourse, Rupert Worden, commented:

In the refined surroundings of the world’s oldest active racecourse, guests enjoyed drinks supplied by Think Wine Group at the reception before tucking in to a three-course meal created by the venerable venue’s Horseradish hospitality team.

Awards were presented afterwards by hosts Gemma Cutting and Jay Hynd of The Guide. All winners selected on the night were arrived at following a rigorous process led by panel of hospitality industry experts acting as judges.

Among those honoured, Emily Jones of Storyhouse, the home of the arts in Chester, won the Heart of House Award, while the Moxy Chester Hotel’s Charlotte Lewis took home the Rising Star Award.

The Bar Person of the Year Award was given to Mediterranean restaurant Artezzan’s Chris Holland, and Piotr Kasprzyk at the Chester Grosvenor was awarded for Excellence in Food Service.
