Chester Hotel Holds St Patrick’s Day Event

Oddfellows in Chester has announced it is hosting a special celebration in honour of St Patrick’s Day.

Titled “Paddy’s Party at Oddfellows”, the evening occasion is set to feature music, games, food and drink, all in an Irish style to welcome the important Irish event.

A boutique hotel based inside an impressive Georgian townhouse, Oddfellows offers comfortable characterful accommodation equipped with modern features like nifty Nespresso machines. While St Patrick’s Day is officially on Monday, March 17, the hotel’s celebrations will be held on Saturday, March 15.

Guests of the event will be welcomed by a free pint of Guinness when they arrive, but the hotel has plenty more in store for partygoers seeking food and refreshments. Paddy’s Pantry promises an Irish beef burger loaded with toppings and served with chips for £14.95, while those seeking a simple snack can have a portion of cheese-covered chips for only £5.95. There will be special prices for shots of Jameson’s and baby Guinness for £3.95.

While fancy dress isn’t vital to attend, the party organisers encourage revellers to arrive in their favourite costume or Irish colours. The hotel DJ will play Irish and popular music until late, and there will be a prize tombola taking place every hour of the event.

Paddy’s Party at Oddfellows will kick off at 7 pm and the celebrations will run until midnight. The hotel is located at 20 Lower Bridge Street in Chester, and admission is just £5.95 per person.
