Chester to Host Tribute to Iconic Pop Star

A vibrant café-style bar Alexander’s Live has been dishing up a wide range of drinks, dining and entertainment to Chester locals and visitors since the early 90s. While the variety of act ranges from comedy and theatre to live bands and poetry, an area the venue excels at is presenting tribute artists.

March will see Alexander’s Live welcome one of Britain’s best loved tributes to pop music legend George Michael. For two nights in a row, ace impersonator Lee Raymond will grace the stage of the Chester venue with a setlist packed with classic tracks to launch the long Easter bank holiday.

Those attending one of the two upcoming shows will get a chance to see Raymond’s authentic interpretation of George Michael, which includes not just the vocal style but the look and stage presence of the iconic artist too.

Songs included in the show will span George Michael’s entire career from his days singing with Andrew Ridgely in Wham! to his successful solo work, which saw him rise to mega stardom.

An expert at his craft, Raymond has been performing as Michael for over 25 years on a journey that has taken him all around the world. He made his Alexander’s Live debut in 2023 and the venue is looking forward to welcoming him back.

Lee Raymond will perform as George Michael at Alexander’s Live on Thursday, March 28. The café-bar can be found at Rufus Court and the doors open at 7.30 pm and the show will start at 9 pm.
