The beating heart of the arts in Chester, Storyhouse has announced it will play host to masterful mimic, Rory Bremner, towards the end of May.
The spring show is suitably called “Making an Impression” and will see the celebrated satirist provide audiences in the city with a unique experience that combines a comedy tour de force with intimate engagement.
For 40 years, Bremner has served as one of Britain’s sharpest wits and political impressionists, often described as a “voice of our time”. In a brand-new show the comedic chameleon will combine his respected stand-up act with candid conversation, interjected with a colourful cast of well-known character impressions serving as special guest hosts.
From his regular appearances on shows like “Mock the Week” to the popular comedy “Bremner, Bird & Fortune”, Bremner has enjoyed steady success that fails to diminish with time. Comedy fans attending can expect an unprecedented display of verbal mimicry, cutting-edge political commentary, acute observations and unique, personal insights from a star who made a successful career from being others on the stage and screen.
Rory Bremner’s Making an Impression show will now be on stage in Storyhouse’s Main Theatre on Friday, May 30. The arts centre is sited on Hunter Street in Chester, and the performance has a start-time of 7.30 pm.
Tickets cost between £24.30 and £37.35 for Storyhouse members, and between £27 to £41.50 for non-members. At the discretion of guardians and parents, the show is suited to those aged 14 and over.
