Operating on the outskirts of Chester, the Spitting Feathers Brewery has a reputation for producing high-quality craft beers from first-class hops.
However, the beloved Cheshire brand also offers fun-filled weekend events known as “Saturday BrewBarn Sessions”. Loaded with laughter, music, fresh food and plenty of good beer, the four-hour extravaganzas take place at the brewery’s HQ at the picture-perfect Common Farm in the village of Waverton.
Each session includes a tour of the brewery, allowing guests to delve into the Spitting Feathers beer-making process to discover the brewing secrets and special ingredients involved. Tastings are the order of the day, with fine craft beers in a variety of styles and flavours waiting to be sampled.
Beers are accompanied by freshly made food. Hot from the oven pizzas crafted with locally sourced ingredients are served up to suit a range of dietary needs, including vegan and gluten-free requested in advance at booking.
Live music is also an important element of the Saturday sessions. Local artists will be on hand to provide a warm summery soundtrack, filling the brew barn with vibrant music.
The total cost of the brewery tour, pizza, live music, and bottomless beers is £35 per person. Guests of Spitting Feathers are welcome to bring along drinks of their own too, but the price of attending is the same.
The Spitting Feathers Brewery can be found at Common Farm on Common Lane in Waverton, Chester. Saturday sessions begin at the Cheshire brewery around 2 pm and run until 6 pm.
