A Taste Cheshire award-winner and holder of the coveted AA Rosette for culinary excellence, Palm Court is an exemplary restaurant. This year, the Chester eatery, based within the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, is presenting an event called “Operation 007 – The Music of James Bond”. The evening experience will combine a refined three-course menu with a live performance of tracks from the famous films featuring Britain’s best-known secret agent.
The evening begins with a welcome drink: 007’s signature cocktail, the Vesper Martini, shaken but not stirred. At 7.30 pm, dinner will be served, accompanied by music from Sophie Murphy, a talented vocalist who will perform a set spanning decades and including iconic songs from the spy series, such as “Diamonds Are Forever”, “Writing’s on the Wall”, “Skyfall” and “GoldenEye”, among many others.
The elegant menu includes starters such as wild mushroom velouté and smoked chicken terrine, while main course options range from slow-cooked beef short rib to butternut squash Wellington. For dessert, there is mango cheesecake, pistachio crème brûlée and chocolate fondant, among other choices.
Operation 007 – The Music of James Bond will now take place at Palm Court on Thursday, 19 November. The event begins at 7 pm, and the restaurant is situated inside the hotel on Wrexham Road in Pulford, Chester.
Tickets for the evening are priced at £58 per person and must be prepaid in full upon booking, when menu choices can also be made. The restaurant’s team should also be alerted to any dietary requirements or allergies ahead of the event.
