Founded in 2013, Veeno has earned a reputation for serving stunning wine with mouth-watering Italian cuisine in Chester.
However, the successful bar and restaurant has a rare distinction that sets it apart from other Chester venues serving wine; Veeno produces its own in family vineyards over in Sicily. Situated across 120 verdant acres in the province of Trapani, the Caruso and Minini vineyard was originally planted by the proprietor’s great grandfather.
Now, an October tasting event will be held to celebrate the family vineyard and share its unforgettable wines. On arrival, guests joining the tasting will start the evening with a glass of exquisite sparkling wine to prepare their palates for an indulgent evening. The Veeno wine tasting experience features five 70 millilitre pours of the vineyard’s finest wines. These include robust reds, an elegant rosé, crisp whites followed by a 25-millilitre serving of sweet dessert wine.
Every wine in the tasting will be poured to pair perfectly with a food selection cleverly curated by Veeno’s accomplished kitchen. Guests can expect artisan cheeses, savoury meats and freshly made bruschetta to enhance the flavours found in the Caruso, and Minini wines and traditional Italian tiramisu will complement the dessert wine.
Veeno will present the Caruso and Minini Sicilian Wine Tasting on Thursday, October 17. The bar and restaurant is situated at 52 Northgate Street in Chester, and the event will start at 7 pm and end at 10 pm. Admission to the tasting is priced at £54.88 per person.
