Chester Restaurant Hosting Caribbean Carnival

A mini carnival offering a true taste of the Caribbean is planned for Chester.

Renowned restaurant chain Turtle Bay is opening a branch in the city soon and, to give residents a flavour of the food and drink to come, it is hosting the pop-up event on Saturday, October 19.

Those coming down to the carnival will get a chance to sample specialities from the Caribbean-inspired bar and restaurant for free like jerk barbequed wings fresh from the fire pit. There will also be options on hand for vegetarians, so they don’t miss out on the experience.

For drinks, the restaurant has commissioned a special bar designed with a beach-shack-style where staff will be serving Turtle Bay’s signature rum cocktails alongside alcohol-free mocktails.

Regional Operations Director for Turtle Bay, Phil Dukelow, commented that the mini Caribbean carnival was the perfect way for the restaurant to introduce Chester to its signature jerk barbeque, rum and reggae. He added:

“This event means we can bring a taste of what’s to come to the people of Chester… get ready to embrace the spirit of the Caribbean… but make sure you arrive early as when our delicious wings are gone – they’re gone!”

The event will also feature live music from Zolatec, a talented steel pan soloist, to supply a soundtrack loaded with island vibes. The pop-up mini Caribbean carnival is happening at Exchange Square from 12 pm onwards, just outside the new restaurant’s location of Chester Northgate.
