Chester Zoo Chooses New Ticketing System

Award-winning Cheshire attraction Chester Zoo has picked admissions expert Gateway Ticketing Systems to help it streamline its operations and improve guest experiences.

The company will provide the zoo with a new customisable and high-speed sales platform to help manage its annual influx of two million visitors and more than 165,000 members.

The Membership & Pass for Galaxy from Gateway will help Chester offer its loyal members personalised and flexible membership options while enhancing its digital portal online. The raft of features includes self-service updates to profiles, exclusive bookings for events, and for added convenience, automatic renewal of memberships.

Furthermore, enhanced customer relation management integration will drive stronger visitor engagement and improve marketing efforts. Zoo guests can access a seamless online buying experience via cutting edge solutions like eGalaxy Group Sales and the eGalaxy Web Store. Through adoption of advanced technology solutions, like Gift Aid functionality, the zoo is joining an ever-expanding network of UK non-profit and cultural institutions that use Gateway’s knowledge and experience in the hope of furthering their aims.

CEO and President for Gateway Ticketing Systems, Michael Andre, commented:

“We are truly honoured to have been selected to provide the ticketing system for Chester Zoo – an international wildlife charity and one of the UK’s largest and most historic zoos. This partnership is significant to us, as our company and Chester Zoo share a deep commitment to customer-centric values.”

Home to 30,000 animals, Chester Zoo is a registered charity and dedicated to conserving threatened species on the planet, and is located just outside the city.
