New Awards for Chester in 2023

Following a tough and turbulent time for colleges and schools throughout the area, The Chester Standard has announced it will now be launching Education Awards for 2023.

In the last few years, many events have been delayed or cancelled because of COVID-19. Event organisers believe that now it is high time that those in and around Chester to celebrate all that is great within the region. This includes highlighting the efforts of dedicated faculty members providing teaching and tuition, as well as others invested in the education sector.

The new awards for 2023 are designed to recognise the achievements of students and pupils who have overcome adversity in the past 12 months, succeeding in both their studies and selected extracurricular activities. Teachers, students, support staff, lecturers and teachers will all be honoured at the dedicated live awards ceremony, which will be taking place this summer in July. The venue selected for this auspicious event is Chester’s celebrated DoubleTree Hilton based on Warrington Road in Hoole.

The Chester Education Awards have secured a celebrity to act as compere for the event. One of ITV News’s longest standing presenters Lucy Meacock will fill the role, bringing her 30 years’ experience to the live ceremony.

Award entries are invited by the organisers from teachers, governors, parents and pupils, as well as anyone who knows of a specific school or college worthy of acknowledgement.

All schools from within the region are welcome to participate and institutions and individuals are allowed to enter multiple categories.
