Bavarian Beer Bound for Chester Racecourse

The 2024 racing season is coming to a close this month, but Chester Racecourse has one last event prepare to dazzle guests. Presented in partnership with cybersecurity experts Protos Networks and Cisco, the world-renowned racing venue will deliver the Oktoberfest Season Finale.

September visitors to Chester and residents alike can celebrate the end of the season, which has included 15 thrilling fixtures for racing fans. Highlights like the Boodles May Festival, the fashion-favourite Powells Jewellery Ladies Day and the much-loved Liverpool John Lennon Airport Family Fun Day, which featured a charity pantomime horse race, have made it an unforgettable run.

While racegoers wait eagerly for the 2025 season to start, the finale promises a full race card of action and an epic celebration. This year, Chester Racecourse is holding an Oktoberfest celebration alongside the last day of racing allowing guest to get dressed up in their finest racing attire with friends for some beer-fuelled fun. Guests can expect classic Oktoberfest music playing live while they enjoy steins of first-class Bavarian beer. For those coming along in lederhosen, there will also be a fun fancy dress competition to enter.

As an extra treat, the world’s oldest active race venue is rewarding early birds with lower priced tickets for the Oktoberfest event the earlier they book.

The Oktoberfest Season Finale will be at Chester Racecourse on Saturday, September 21. The venue is sited on New Crane Street in Chester, and gates to the event will open at 11.30 am.
