The Live Rooms in Chester is soon opening its doors to The Karma Effect.
The London-based band play blues rock inspired by 70s rock n’ roll and soul, with a 21st century twist. The five-piece will play at the Chester venue this spring, with an April headline show at the independent venue.
Big guitar riffs and keyboard playing combined with epic vocal melodies are the hallmarks of The Karma Effect’s soulful rock stylings. While the band released their second studio album last year, called “The Promised Land”, the upcoming show is timed especially to coincide with the rerelease of their inaugural recording. The self-titled debut from 2022 has now been remastered, and songs sourced from its track list are likely to be played on the night. As a result, loyal fans attending the show may get to hear its singles “Wrong Again”, “Steal Your Heart”, “Testify” and “Doubt She’s Coming Back”.
Commenting on their upcoming return to the walled city, The Karma Effect enthused:
“We can’t wait to play Chester again. Come join us.”
Both studio recordings from the band were released via Earache Records and The Promised Land has enjoyed a warm reception, reaching number 19 in the UK Album Chart.
The Karma Effect will now perform a set at the Live Rooms on Sunday, April 6. The music venue is sited on Station Road in Chester, and the show kicks off at 7 pm with rock and roll support act Silveroller as special guests.
