Chester to Present Culinary Easter Event

The celebrated Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival is set to unleash its latest exciting event. Providing three days loaded with gastronomic wonders, the Easter weekend event will take place at the historic Chester Racecourse venue, and will celebrate the very best produce and culinary skills from around the region.

The upcoming Easter event is inviting gourmands and food fanatics alike from within the city and beyond to indulge their taste buds over the weekend. The festival will also be welcoming an eclectic mix of celebrity chefs including Miguel Barclay, Simon Rimmer and Paul Rankin, as well as a carefully curated selection of local chefs from across Cheshire.

Budget-friendly chef Barclay, who has won appreciation for his “one-pound meals” masterstroke, will be on stage to launch the festival on its first day. A familiar face on shows like This Morning and Saturday Kitchen, Barclay has seven cookbooks to his name and specialises in culinary creations that don’t break the bank.

Day two of the event is led by Northern Ireland’s gastronomic ambassador Paul Rankin. Famed for altering the image of his country’s cuisine, Rankin is known for his appearances on Paul and Nick’s Big Food Trip and Ready Steady Cook.

Sunday Brunch host and successful restauranteur Rimmer will close the festival, bringing along his passion for cooking and seasonal ingredients and offering inspiring cooking demonstrations on the day.

The Taste Cheshire Easter event will be held at Chester Racecourse from March 20 to April 1. The racecourse can be found on New Crane Street.
