Chester country house Bolesworth Castle has announced it will be hosting a massive summer event for 2023.
Dubbed “Bolesworth International”, the epic five-day occasion will combine first-class equestrian action, food, drink and lifestyle experiences, as well as live music from headline acts.
While the world-leading equestrian talent at Bolesworth International will still take pride of place in the arena, the event organisers have taken a bold step to create perhaps the most entertaining family event possible for the North West in 2023. As a result, the stunning grounds of grade-listed Bolesworth Castle will be transformed with areas dedicated to retail, action, and food and drink designed for all members of the family.
Visitors can expect an eclectic collection of activities, including artisan and equestrian shopping opportunities, non-stop sports action from showjumpers and stunt riders, paddle boarding, workshops from expert chefs, family dog shows, on-site camping, children’s entertainment, riding masterclasses, BMX displays, VIP experiences, premium bars and a full-size fairground.
Celebrities are set to attend, including legendary footballer Michael Owen and ace jockey AP McCoy, and a host of big names in music will be performing live throughout the event. Confirmed to play Bolesworth International are jazz/funk legends The Brand New Heavies, DJs Trevor Nelson and Phoebe D’Abo, and former Status Quo guitar hero Rick Parfitt and his RPJ band.
Bolesworth International will run from Wednesday, June 14 to Sunday, June 18. The event venue is located off Old Coach Road in Tattenhall, around eight miles from central Chester.
