Chester Racecourse to Present Classical Club Music

Established back in 1593, Chester Racecourse is renowned for operating longer than any other venue of its kind. While its ongoing calendar is packed with races throughout the year, the racecourse also hosts a wide variety of events from food festivals to live concerts.

The racecourse recently announced a summer event taking place within its grounds which will bring the club soundtrack from Ibiza to Chester, with a classical twist. Dubbed “Ibiza Classic Evening” the upcoming event will feature a performance by Ibiza in Symphony, who will combine the electronic beats the Balearic Island is renowned for with live instruments and impressive vocals.

Ibiza in Symphony has been a roaring success in the UK, and has already been presented by Chester Cathedral. Its electrifying setlist showcases the talents of many famous DJs and recording artists, with iconic tracks from Swedish House Mafia, Robert Miles, Fatboy Slim, Chicane, Darude, Faithless and ATB, among many others.

Chief Operating Officer for Chester Racecourse, Steve Davies, commented:

“Our Ibiza Classics Evening is the ultimate start to a weekend, celebrating the very best in dance music with an immersive and atmospheric show after racing. We are so excited that Ibiza in Symphony will be joining us.”

The evening event will take place on Friday, July 12 after the races and invites all from Chester and beyond to attend to sing, dance and reminisce about their holiday adventures. The performance is part of Chester Racecourse’s Summer Music Weekend and will be followed by Soul Sunset Racing on Saturday, July 13, which will feature Craig Charles on the decks delivering a DJ set specialising in funk and soul sounds.
