It’s Mothering Sunday this weekend; a time for families to show their love and thank their hard-working mums for their year-round unconditional love, care and support.
For those who may have run out of time to buy a gift for the occasion, Bolesworth Events could well have the answer with several gift options on offer for its upcoming Bolesworth International.
The all-new Bolesworth International at Bolesworth Castle, near Cheshire will be held from Wednesday 14 th to Sunday 18 th June. It’s a five-day festival with a difference where world-class equestrian sport meets style, live music, entertainment, an array of food and drink stalls, and artisan shopping.
For equine fans there will of course be international Showjumping and, this year, the show opens with a Bolesworth first; a day dedicated to Eventing stars participating in a new Eventing Grand Prix, followed by an Eventing Masterclass with Nicola Wilson, Geoff Billington, Emily King and Sam Ackroyd. The hugely-popular Ben Atkinson and his team of talented horses will wow spectators with their skills and tricks, while the super-tense Puissance will keep everyone spellbound as they wait for the first horse and rider to knock down the wall.
Away from the showjumping ring, live music nights get underway on the Friday, with the energetic Rick Parfitt’s RPJ Band and London’s iconic DJ Phoebe D’Abo then the sounds of the 90’s will be belted out by The Brand New Heavies when they headline on Saturday with DJ Trevor Nelson on the decks.
Elsewhere within the showground, there’ll a host of things to see and do with fun and interactive experiences for the whole family – have-a-go rides, watersports, cooking displays with Celebrity BBQ chefs, dog-friendly walking routes and the chance to indulge in some retail therapy.
Low-cost weekend camping will give the Bolesworth International a festival vibe and allow revellers to take a mini-break and enjoy every minute of the Friday and Saturday night entertainment.
There’s something for every mum at Bolesworth Castle this June with general admission tickets priced from just £20 and weekend passes from £30. For those wanting to ‘push the boat out’, Saturday 17th of June is Ladies Day with day and evening VIP packages on offer. The fashion, colour and spectacle of this day is a highlight of the week.
The Bolesworth International is poised to be one of Cheshire’s greatest festivals of 2023.
