Inspired by a road trip through the southern states of America, Hickory’s Smokehouse is a much-loved eatery alongside the River Dee. Offering an authentic slice of Southern hospitality in Chester, the restaurant renowned for its smoky barbeque delights has rolled out an all-new menu for spring and summer.
Diners visiting in the warmer months will still find their Hickory’s favourites on the menu, but now they’re joined by a new line of drinks, desserts and dishes to tempt the tastebuds.
Loaded with mouth-watering morsels, the “Southern Sharer” boasts glazed chopped smoked sausage, garlic butter pretzel bites, deep fried breaded pickles (frickles), smoked wings, cowboy buttered corn rib and an abundance of dips.
New lunch time bite “Loaded Potatoes” offers a range of toppings like “Pulled Pork” and “The Texi-Can” while the latest side added to the menu is “Smashed Cucumber”.
Sweet tooths seeking dessert can tuck into the “Just Peachy Jam Jar Cheesecake” or “Campfire Smores” for sharing, or drink a “Bigger, Badder Biscoff Freakshake”.
The Hickory’s bar menu also has some brand-new summertime cocktails like the “Alabama Vice”, “Tropic Like it’s Not” “Southern Sangria”, “One in a Melon” and the “Toasted Mellow Old Fashioned”.
Some old favourites have also returned by popular demand. These include classic cornbread to serve with the “Smokehouse Platter” and the famous “Corn Dogs”, now amplified with fresh flavours of French mustard, Kansas BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, and shallots.
Diners can check out the full spring summer menu at Hickory’s Smokehouse on Souters Lane at The Groves in Chester.
