Chester Welcomes Winter Club for Meat Eaters

Visitors to Chester and those who call it home who have a passion for succulent steak and fine wine are in luck this winter.

Friendly country pub The Chester Fields is hosting a special “Steak Connoisseurs Night” on every Friday up until March. Already underway, the opulent experience launched in January, but meat eaters still have plenty of opportunities to indulge their appetites before spring arrives.

The versatile steak club menu boasts a diverse selection of choice cuts to pick from, including 12-ounce ribeye, ten-ounce rump, ten-ounce bavette, eight-ounce sirloin, and six-ounce fillet. Each steak served is perfectly accompanied by sumptuous sides including grilled tomato, Portobello mushroom and chips cut by hand along with classic peppercorn sauce.

To complement the different cuts, a carefully curated list of wines has been prepared by the gastropub’s knowledgeable team. White wines at the evening dining event include a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile, a Pinot Grigio from Italy and a Chenin Blanc from South Africa, while reds involve a Merlot from Chile, a Shiraz from South Africa and a Rioja from Spain.

The Chester Fields Country Pub and Restaurant can be found in Rural Chester at Sandfield Farm on Chester Road. The price of attending the night is £28 for one diner and includes a large glass (250 ml) of the pub’s house wine or £55 for two diners which includes a bottle of the house wine for sharing. The fillet and ribeye steak selections have a supplemental charge of £5 per person.
