Acclaimed attraction ChesterBoat is renowned for taking visitors on inspired and informative tours along the Dee. However, it also offers a unique experience for those looking to celebrate with friends and their favourite music.
Dubbed “Party Nights Afloat” these themed events are dedicated to music from specific eras and offer arrival drinks, an onboard DJ and barbeque buffet feasts.
Party boats set sail at 7:30 pm from the North side of the Dee on Souter’s Lane, The Groves and return to Chester for 10:30pm.
This April, ChesterBoat has two such evenings in the offing. The first cruise will take revellers back to the days of disco, glam rock and synthesiser sounds and is titled “60s 70s 80s Rewind”. The three-hour celebrations will take place on Saturday, April 15 and offers plenty of much-loved music from the three decades, with a few modern hits in the mix to keep the party going.
The second event on Saturday, April 22 is called “90s to Now” and promises a playlist packed with Uptown Funk, Girl Power and Britpop for a nostalgic night on the river. Those attending can expect chart-topping hits from the past 30-something years, including songs by the Spice Girls, Whitney Houston, and Britney Spears, with some Madchester music in between.
Those wishing to attend the April events are advised to book early as, due to their popularity, tickets for the cruise tend to sell out quickly. Partygoers with special dietary requirements should reach out in advance so that ChesterBoat can look after their needs.
