Renowned cruise tour Chesterboat has announced it is offering a special way to spoil mums, step-mums and grandmothers next month.
In honour of Mother’s Day, Chesterboat will be providing cruises along the scenic River Dee while serving a sumptuous afternoon tea.
The Mother’s Day cruise sets of from The Groves and sails out beyond Chester’s city limits. As a result, those joining the journey can enjoy unspoiled views of rural Cheshire in all its leafy splendour, and sights like the beautiful blue Adford Iron Bridge.
A steady stream of fresh tea and coffee will be poured while parties treat their mums to a spread of fruit scones, triangle sandwiches, and sweet treats like chocolate éclairs, macaroons, chocolate brownies, cherry Bakewell blondies and lemon drizzle cake. Hot drinks are served in crockery and afternoon tea on individual trays. There will also be a glass of bubbly prosecco for adults and soft drinks for children, as well as chocolate especially for mums and mother figures.
Those looking to learn more about Chester and its stunning surrounds will also appreciate the onboard commentary telling interesting tales of the city and the wider county.
The Chesterboat Mother’s Day Cruise will take place at 12 pm or 3 pm on Sunday, March 19. Booking for this event is essential and tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets are £30.50 for adults, and £13 or £18 for children depending on the size of their food portion. Young children under five who do not need catering may travel free but must still be booked in.
