Ska Sounds Bound for Chester

Residents and visitors to Chester with a passion for two-tone music are in for a treat this month. A tribute group dedicated to two of the UK ska revival’s biggest bands will soon be performing at respected city music events venue, The Live Rooms.

Playing under the name of “Special Kinda Madness”, the band are a tribute to seminal ska rockers The Specials, but also chart favourites Madness. As a result, ska fans from within the city and beyond will be hard pressed to find a more ideal evening.

Special Kinda Madness is committed to providing an authentic experience for fans of the famous British bands. There shows incorporate two sets one after the other, replicating the energy and iconic tunes of each group in turn. Their musicianship has seen them draw appreciation from music fans and critics alike and their live performances are characterised by hundreds of ticket buyers singing along to choruses and dancing as soon as shows start.

Those who love ska rock planning on attending the upcoming show in Chester will now get a chance to witness live performances of songs from The Specials like “Ghost Town”, “Do Nothing”, “Monkey Man” and “Enjoy Yourself”, as well as Madness tracks like “House of Fun”, “Baggy trousers”, “Our House” and “Driving in My Car”.

The band will be at The Live Rooms on Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11. The venue is located at 1 Station Road in Chester, and the show will start at 7pm on both dates.
