Chester Hub to Celebrate Craft Beer

From The Brewery Tap on Lower Bridge Street to the Brewhouse and Kitchen on Love Street, Chester has a rich bounty of watering holes for fans of real beers and ales. Now, the city’s premier arts hub and events venue Storyhouse has announced that it is hosting a special celebration for beer enthusiasts in Chester and beyond.

March will see the city’s iconic venue play host to a two-day event entitled “The Chester Craft Beer Expo” running on the theme of “That Beer Story”. Introducing the event, the Storyhouse website explains:

“Remember that when we share a story with friends over a beer, our house becomes their house, and we discover a place where we meet as one.”

The unique event for beer lovers promises to be like no other, and Storyhouse’s Garret Theatre and Bar will be transformed for the festivities. Guests of the expo will get a chance to meet some of the event organiser’s beloved craft breweries and sample some of their delicious beers. There will also be a chance to learn from real beer experts while sipping a selection of beers. Plenty of food will be present, and live music will help to provide a soundtrack for the event.

Gifts to take home will be awarded to attendees. Cans of craft beer have been specially designed to feature a stylish illustration of Storyhouse in black and white on a kingfisher blue background. To accompany them, commemorative glassware has been created for the occasion.

The expo will take place at Storyhouse on Hunter Street on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16.
