Chester Venue Swings into Valentine’s Day

The Palm Court in Chester has announced it will be hosting an event on the most romantic day of the year, entitled the “Valentine’s King of Swing” evening.

The celebrated restaurant, bar and piano lounge is now inviting lovers to enjoy a three-course meal by candlelight, accompanied by a romantic soundtrack performed live.

On the evening of Tuesday, February 14, professional singer Andy Bayley will be performing a selection of classic tracks from the swing era when true romance reigned supreme. Diners can expect to hear love songs made famous by artists like Nat King Cole, Michael Bublé, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bobby Darin to name but a few. The Wirral-based singer has enjoyed a successful career performing not only at live events, but on radio and television, including voicing characters in commercials.

After a welcome cocktail, diners can enjoy an exclusive Valentine’s Day menu featuring an abundance of choice. Starters include crayfish and king prawn cocktails, and chicken and duck liver pâté. Main courses feature crispy-skinned seabass, roast chicken boudin and mushroom wellington. Deserts on the menus are equally diverse and range from banoffee cheesecake and dark chocolate delice to mixed fruit millefeuille served with raspberry sorbet. There is also selection of dishes to share.

Tickets are available now, priced at £52 per person and advance booking via the event listing is crucial to secure a table. The Palm Court is located within the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa on Wrexham Road in Chester.
